One has to like people to be successful in the Human Resources field. I like people – people of the most diverse origins with the most varied expectations and demands. I laid the cornerstone for this liking during the 80's when I travelled extensively abroad and thanks to language-learning stays in France and Spain. During the same period I had my first career experience in my home town of Basel in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and graduated as a business economist from the HWV– now a polytechnic.
"Unto new horizons" was all the rage at the start of the 90's when I put my energy as managing partner into establishing and expanding an internationally active business in the IT field. I was responsible at the time for the Human Resources in addition to building up the market in Europe and overseas. During this time, working as qualified business IT specialist, I learned a better understanding of the interrelationships between people, technology and business.
Towards the end of the 90's, after a comprehensive location study, I switched to management consulting with a well-known internationally aligned Swiss consulting company. The interest in people then moved towards the centre of my work. The focus of my remit lay in the area of ‘People Development’. As manager and coach I was responsible for national and international projects in the fields of Leadership Development and Potential Management, as well as in outplacement, and as an EFQM assessor I became successfully involved in reorganisations.
My goal is the establishment of your career success using my knowledge, my experience and the GRASS network.
