About the Person

Romeo Ruh

«You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.»

(Marcus Aurelius)

What runs through my entire career is a deliberate balance between the world of business and the human being. My background in business administration (lic. oec.) meets a distance-learning degree in positive psychology and training as a mindfulness teacher – this combination of entrepreneurial thinking and a deep understanding of human behaviour shapes my work to this day.

For more than 20 years I have worked in leadership development, self-management and team and organisational development – in a wide variety of roles: as corporate developer, product manager, head of sales, managing director, consultant, coach, speaker, interim manager and entrepreneur, as well as a lecturer at various universities of applied sciences, universities and continuing-education institutes on career, leadership, resilience, mental health and AI in a leadership context. It is precisely this versatility that defines a large part of the way I work – I feel at home in many roles and topics and can quickly think my way into new contexts.

As an ICF coach (International Coach Federation), I have been intensively accompanying people through professional transitions since 2009. In that time I have had the privilege of supporting more than 300 people in over 4,000 hours of one-to-one coaching – work that has always been, and still is, deeply fulfilling and meaningful to me.

I have a particular affinity for industries such as banking and insurance, manufacturing, IT/AI and digitalisation, as well as education and consulting. This broad understanding of different sectors helps me to quickly put myself in my clients’ shoes and to support them in a precisely tailored way.

This pursuit of focus and performance shaped me long before my professional career: as a teenager I played pool billiards at Swiss championship level for many years and won several medals – a school for life in what mental strength under pressure really means. Today I live this energy in everyday life with my family and four boys, as well as skiing, hiking and other hobbies that give me balance and fresh energy.

My aim is to support professionals in Switzerland with highly targeted career advice so that they become more resilient in the face of the major changes in the Swiss labour market. This makes it possible to reinvent oneself again and again, in small ways and large, from a position of strength – and to stay one step ahead of change.
