Our History
Grass & Partner was founded in 1997 by Riet Grass – as the first specialized Outplacement company in Switzerland. As a former HR Director, Riet Grass recognized early on that professional separations require more than administrative solutions: namely orientation, dignity, and new perspectives. In doing so, he laid the foundation for a standard of quality that continues to shape the Swiss Outplacement market today.
In the following years, Grass & Partner evolved continuously. By expanding to additional locations in German-speaking Switzerland and consistently broadening its service portfolio, the company established itself as a leading premium provider for Outplacement, Career Management, and leadership development.
An important milestone was the 20th anniversary in 2017, accompanied by the publication of the book "The Fortune of Failure" (Das Glück des Scheiterns) by NZZ Verlag – a work that impressively reflects the attitude of Grass & Partner: understanding professional transitions as an opportunity for sustainable development.
With established succession solutions, expansion into French-speaking Switzerland, and a clear growth strategy, Grass & Partner remains an owner-managed consulting firm to this day and consistently continues to develop its strong market position in the premium segment.
